A new abortion center in Colorado has begun killing unborn babies in abortions up to birth and for any reason.
The abortion business operators declare that “any reason you have for needing abortion care is yours, and it is the right one.”
The RISE Collective, formed by former staff of the now-closed Boulder Abortion Clinic, which also killed babies in late-term abortions, opened its doors in Boulder and started scheduling appointments for late-term abortions two weeks ago.
The facility kills babies up to 34 weeks’ gestation — about 13 weeks after the point of fetal viability — making it one of only a handful of such centers nationwide where babies can be killed in the third trimester without any medical justification required. With thousands of prematurely babies born at 34 weeks or earlier, that is functionally up to birth in some cases.

Colorado’s lack of any limits on abortion has turned the state into a magnet for “abortion tourism,” drawing customers from across the country to end the lives of their unborn children at any stage of pregnancy. The RISE Collective employs 20% of the abortionists in the U.S. that kill babies in late-term abortions, ensuring a steady pipeline for these deadly procedures.
Alicia Moreno, executive director of the RISE Collective and former chief operating officer at the Boulder Abortion Clinic, emphasized the abortion center’s continuity with its predecessor.
“We have the most important part of the formula, which is a very well-trained staff,” Moreno said. The staff, including former director of abortion sales Debbie Riccioli, comprises nearly all 17 employees from the original center, which shuttered in April after 50 years of operation under the controversial late-term abortionist Warren Hern.
Hern, who retired at age 87, killed an estimated 42,000 babies in abortions over his career, including more than 1,000 babies between 18 and 38 weeks’ gestation from 2000 to 2004, according to research cited by pro-life experts.
Further studies indicated he completed over 700 late-term abortions on healthy unborn babies over nine years. While Hern often highlighted cases involving severe fetal abnormalities, he acknowledged that at least half of his third-trimester patients had no such diagnoses.
Pro-life leaders, who initially rejoiced at the Boulder Abortion Clinic’s closure as a hard-won victory against the slaughter of viable babies, expressed outrage at the swift resurrection of its gruesome mission under new management.
Other “all-trimester abortion facilities” have also opened in Maryland and Chicago in the years after Dobbs, as these Democrat states with lax laws encourage abortion tourism and even hand out taxpayer-funded grants benefitting late-term abortion business.
