Earlier this month, in answer to a question about his ongoing review of mifepristone, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy said, “We’re getting data all the time, new data that we’re reviewing.”
Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, comments, “It’s so encouraging to see an HHS Secretary willing to look at real data and give this dangerous abortion drug an honest review. Our organization has been poised and ready for this moment. We are submitting OR’s own unique data to Secretary Kennedy regarding chemical abortions, the rise of telemed abortions, and the current dangers women face when seeking these almost unregulated pills – a situation created by Biden and the FDA.”
Operation Rescue has been gathering information on chemical abortions for years. In addition to singular investigations of abortion complications, abortion deaths, and other wrongdoing, OR has also carried out an annual survey of every abortion clinic in America for more than a decade. This survey tracks a plethora of sobering data, including the fluctuating number of abortion clinics, the average cost of procedures, gestational limits, and wait times.

“More recently,” adds Newman, “and especially after the fall of Roe, our team began a close survey of The Virtual Back-Alley – the growing number of virtual abortion pill peddlers that have more than tripled since Biden and the FDA stripped away nearly all safety regulations for mifepristone.”
Aside from providing information on the Virtual Back-Alley not found anywhere else, this in-depth report also details major problems created by removing commonsense safety regulations for mifepristone, including: the vast underreporting of abortion pill complications; women killed by abortion pills; a documented increase in predators procuring abortion pills to secretly dose the women they have impregnated; and, the current reality that abortionists are treated as a privileged class of doctor, unable to even be sued by patients they have harmed or arrested for state laws they have violated.
“We know this meticulously gathered data can be of great use to RFK and the Department of Health and Human Services,” Newman comments. “We offer it in good faith, and our team is available for any further questions Secretary Kennedy might have.”
